Craftsman 6.75 Hp Carburetor

• 222 Answers SOURCE: Those Craftsman's have the standard Tecumseh engine / carburetor setup on them and usually need a good carb scrubbing; especially that brass bolt on the bottom of the float bowl, which has a microscopic hole at the top of the threads that you can barely see with the ***** eye (mine, anyway). If you know carbs and wanna do it yourself, I have found that removing the muffler first and then the two manifold bolts is the way to do this. Remove the whole manifold and carb all in one piece, then take the two nuts that hold them together off being very careful to note the linkage hookup (take a picture, or I'll send you one). If you're not comfortable with any of this or I've confused you too much; seek a professional and it'll cost you about 30 or 40 USD. But then, after all of this, the blowing smoke thing has me thinking you may have a more serious problem. The carb job never hurts, but then, I can do the whole job in 30 minutes now. • 222 Answers SOURCE: Your carburetor probably needs a good cleaning. If it has the Tecumseh engine with the sideways carb on it, there is one thing to check quickly. Remove that brass bolt (main jet) on the bottom of the float bowl with a 1/2 inch wrench. Check all the tiny holes in it and make sure they're not clogged. You'll find one very very very tiny (I can barely even see it with my old eyes) hole right at the very top of the threads on that bolt and it gets clogged very easily with today's ethanol gasoline.

If that gets clogged, your mower won't start. Also make note of the way the bowl is installed. It MUST be put on with the bevel side toward the hinge on your float or the float won't operate. Dogfighter Pc Game more.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Craftsman makes many different versions of similar models. This means that there's a lot of varying parts from model to model. So we want to make sure the parts you're shopping for, will fit your product. We do this by requiring a model number before you can start finding parts. If you already came prepared with this number, go ahead and enter in the search box above this section or search by model category to the right of this section. Otherwise, you'll need to find this number in your owner's manual or on your product itself. Craftsman places all of the identifying numbers (including model number) on a rating tag somewhere on your unit. The Rebellious Ward Pdf there.
