My friend updated to EL Capitan yesterday (1st Oct) to the official release version of El Capitan. He uses an Internet Dongle/fob/adapter (that connects to a cellular network) to connect to the internet. He had no issues with it while using it in Yosemite, but after the update to El Capitan it is not working. I have checked the Internet dongle with other computers and it works fine. Therefore I believe the issue may be with Java thats running on OS X 10.11 The internet dongle being used is a Huawei E173.

It is working on a 3G GSM network in Sri Lanka (Dialog Axiata). Any workaround this would be great. Posted on Oct 1, 2015 9:08 PM.

Dear sitharnorbu, I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011) with El Capitan 10.11.1. I just followed the steps indicated in the README file: 1. Start computer in recovery (cmd +R during startup) 2. Then after system started go to terminal and enter csrutil disable. Restart computer and install software from Huawei 4. Insert modem and test the connection 5.

Restart computer again in recovery mode and now enter in terminal csrutil enable. Restart again and it's done!

I hope this will help you. Nov 19, 2015 2:03 PM. NO NEED TO DO 'csrutil'. Dongle: E1552 on Maxis Mobile Method: • Uninstall old Maxis broadband (Mobile Connect) ->Go to Applicatioins, right click on Maxis broadband (or old Mobile Connect) ->Send to Trash ->Empty Trash • Browse to • Download Stick Mobile Partner (for MAC10.11) • Extract the zip file and run the iso installer • Apple will prompt installer cannot run due to restrictions bla bla bla ->click OK/Cancel • Right Click on Mobile Partner installer icon and click Open, This will prompt the same but with Open and Cancel option ->click Open • Follow the installer instruction. Enter Mac user password when prompted.

Click finished when done. • Launch Mobile Partner app. The previous settings are already preconfigured (not sure how it detects) • Test connectivity. This is how I did it without to use CSRUTIL command. The Mobile Partner is not for my dongle but I believe as long as the Mobile Partner runs, it will detect your dongle. Cheers and Happy holiday Dec 14, 2015 9:33 PM.
